Malacca is noted as Malaysia’s historical city and located of the coastal state of Malacca, in southwestern Malaysia. It was once a well-known international trade centre in the East. Visiting Malacca is like a journey back in time to witness the adventures and discoveries during Malacca’s golden age. A must to visit like Jonker Street, Chinatown’s main thoroughfare, is known for antique shops and its night market. Nearby, the 17th-century Chinese Cheng Hoon Teng temple has ornate decorations and multiple prayer halls. A green, 3-tiered roof tops the 18th-century, Javanese-influenced Kampung Kling Mosque. Is easy to get around with a mix of old and new with historical buildings standing side by side on foot to explore the many historical places that make it unique.
